What a fun Easter weekend for my family. We started Good Friday by celebrating our sweet girls 5th birthday. Then we threw my parents a Surprise 40th Wedding Anniversary and finished the weekend off with goodies and egg hunts.
It’s become a tradition that we spend Easter with my family in Delaware. My Aunt comes down from PA and my brother and sister-in-law stay the weekend as well. It’s a full house, in many ways, but the constant for us is laughter and playing cards.
Once the little ones are asleep you’ll find us clearing off the table to play some cards. We go back and forth on what we want to play, but this weekend it was all about Blitz. So we threw in .40 cents each and let the fun begin. Of course cards wouldn’t be complete without eating port wine cheese and sourdough pretzels, YUM! The big winners for the weekend were my Aunt Jill and Dad.
Easter morning was a delight with everyone getting baskets and my nephew having his 1st Easter. Camden decided to taste a hard boiled egg with the shell (he wasn’t a fan) and Eleanor dominated on finding the eggs. Then it was outside for the big hunt. My cousin Q did such a great job hiding the eggs and playing with the kids.
It was a wonderful weekend and I’m so glad we could spend time together making new memories. I hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend.
